Hola everyone from Cozumel, Mexico!  Today has been such an eventful day--swimming with dolphins, snorkeling out into the open sea with the fishes, and watching a tiny, bubble-like jellyfish float on by right next to me as  I swam--all for the very first time!  If you've missed my previous post, click here to check out some of the photos from earlier today!

The second half of the day focused more on the city and Carnaval!  For those of you who don't know Carnaval, it is an annual festival celebrated in many parts of the world--Brazil's being the most famous one.  Similar to Mardi Gras, this celebration is held a few days before lent and consists of colorful parades, dancers in elaborate costumes, delicious local foods, and loud sambo music that makes you want to shake your booty!  Fortunately, we were lucky enough to stumble across Carnaval Cozumel and experience their culture firsthand!

Swapped the dress from the previous post for these white, embellished shorts and wore wedged sandals.

Bought cotton candy not knowing that the sugar is made from sugar cane sugar!  Mind.  Blown.

The locals here sure have humor!  Anyone want to take the Mexican Elevator with me?
