An Upward Incline

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal:  it is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill

Yesterday's adventure consisted of white cotton candied clouds with blue skies, lots of water, and a gradual incline into the mountains in search for the infamous Hanging Lake!

The trail up towards Hanging Lake was vicious.  The steps are inconsistant and windy.  Here and there, there would be sudden surprises such as a bridge or a beautiful steam next to the path and other times, it will seem rugged and boring.  But as soon as I reached the final steps towards the lake, it was worth every single sweat!

Through this much needed therapeutic activity, I've learned that like life, the path upwards is uncertain, tiring, and unpredictable.

Dreams may seem unobtainable, but they are not impossible.  If you keep going, you may someday reach it.  How long will it take?  You'll never know, but that's what makes it scary and exciting at the same time.  Also, can you imagine how rewarding it'll be once you've crossed over that line from reality into fantasy because you're finally living your dreams?

Once you've reached towards the very top, it can be calm, gratifying, and worthwhile.  So don't give up.
